Toronto Travel Guide

Must-See Attractions & Hidden Gems

Let’s talk about Toronto — not just the biggest city in Canada, but one of the most exciting places I’ve ever explored. If Canada is a mosaic, then Toronto is where all the pieces come together, colourful and full of life. It’s a city that somehow manages to feel both massive and personal at the same time.

From the moment I first landed in Toronto, I could tell this place had something special going on. It’s fast-paced, yes, but also full of little corners that make you pause and look closer. What really stands out to me is how incredibly diverse it is — and not just in terms of people, but in the neighbourhoods themselves.

Each area feels like its own world. You might start your day walking the cobblestone streets of the Distillery District, then pop over to the bold and quirky Kensington Market, where murals cover the walls and every shop has a story. Head downtown and the skyline towers over you — the CN Tower reminding you exactly where you are. And then, when you need a break from all that buzz, you’re never far from a peaceful green space or a quiet lakeside spot.

One of the things I love most about Toronto is how easy it is to mix things up. Want to check out a museum in the morning? Sure. Grab Korean, Ethiopian, or Italian food for lunch? Done. Chill by the lake or catch a live band in the evening? Absolutely. It’s the kind of city where you don’t need to plan everything down to the minute — just start walking and you’ll stumble onto something worth experiencing.

I’ve put together a bunch of articles based on my time wandering through this city — not guidebook stuff, but real insights, local finds, and honest tips from my own experience. Whether you’re looking for where to eat, how to get around, or which spots are worth your time, I’ve tried to cover it all in a way that’s actually helpful.

There’s a lot to love about this city — and I hope through these posts, you’ll get a feel for why Toronto has left such a mark on me.
